In 2007, Gillispie was known as one of the top coaches in NCAA men's basketball bringing his team, Texas A&M, all the way to the sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament. To being fired by Kentucky in 2009. Then being hired again to Texas Tech, to now, in which he may never become a basketball coach again. The Red Raiders were 8-23 overall, 1-17 in the Big 12, in Gillispie's lone season as successor to Pat Knight. The school said Gillispie will be paid for the rest of his contract, which runs through April 30, 2013.

Robert Griffin III Gets The Win

The NFL season has finally started and the rookie Robert Griffin III showed why he was a top pick in the draft in his debut. The quarterback passed for 320 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for another 42 yards and not turning the ball over a single time in the Washington Redskin's 40-32 upset over Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. During the game, RG3 stayed in the pocket most of the time showing his passing ability and taking hits from the opposing team. He knew he was able to run at any time, but he wanted to get his teammates involved also. It was a great game for RG3, and hopefully more to come.
