On April 2, 2013, the Los Angelos Lakers will retire Shaquille O'Neals number at Staples Center. Shaq's number 34, will be raised into the rafters that day. Shaq spent 8 years out of his 19 years with the Los Angelos Lakers (1996-2004). As being one of the most superior centers to ever play, Shaq brought them 3 straight championships (2000, 2001, 2002), won finals MVP each year and averaging 27 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 blocks while with the Lakers. Shaq ended up with drama with his teammate Kobe Bryant and former coach Phil Jackson, which led to his trade in 2004 to Miami Heat. Kobe and Shaq is eventually made peace in 2006. With that, Shaq had a great basketball career and deserves his number to be retired.
